Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how RockstarDev Inc (an Illinois S Corp) ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit rockstardev.org or engage our services.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, and the message you send through our contact form. Each submission also captures your IP address, browser user-agent, and submission timestamp; this metadata is included in the internal notification we receive so that we can trace abuse, attribute spam, and verify legitimate inquiries.
- Invoice payments: when you pay an invoice, payment data (card details) goes directly to our payment processor (Stripe). We never see, store, or process your card information. Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy governs that data.
- Project engagement information: if you become a client, we collect business-relevant information (company name, billing contact, scope-of-work details) required to deliver services.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Web server logs: IP address, user agent, time of request, page requested. Standard hosting telemetry retained for security + diagnostic purposes (~90 days, automatically rotated).
- Cookies: we do not currently use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. If this changes, we will update this policy.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your contact form inquiry.
- To deliver services under our consulting engagements.
- To send invoices, process payments, and maintain financial records required by US tax law.
- To investigate and respond to security incidents.
3. How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share data only with:
- Stripe - for payment processing.
- Our hosting provider (Namecheap web-hosting infrastructure) - for technical operation of this website.
- Subcontractors we engage to deliver a specific project, only with your written consent and under matching confidentiality.
- Legal authorities - if required by valid US legal process.
4. Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months unless you become a client (in which case engagement-related records may be retained longer for tax + legal compliance, typically 7 years).
Web server logs auto-rotate (typically ~90 days).
Payment records are retained per US tax-law requirements (currently 7 years for S Corp records).
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information (subject to retention obligations under tax + legal compliance).
- Opt out of any marketing communications (we do not currently send any).
To exercise these rights, use the contact form on our homepage.
6. Children
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
7. International users
RockstarDev Inc is established in Illinois, USA. If you access our site from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US. We comply with applicable cross-border data transfer laws, including for EEA / UK / California users (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA).
8. Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and follow reasonable industry security practices for data at rest. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
9. Changes
